Health professionals have long recommended taking vitamins on a regular basis. The importance of ingesting these substances is that they help the body to function correctly. In general, these nutrients are found in most foods of plant origin.
Therefore, a healthy diet can provide any human being with the necessary amount of vitamins to keep them in good condition. Some of these nutrients can be obtained in capsules, but consumption in this form must be authorized by a health professional.
“The intake of nutrients in food carried out on a daily basis contributes to energy intake (carbohydrates, lipids and proteins) and to the regulation of metabolism (mineral salts and water). The energy required to maintain the vital functions of the organism and to develop a physical-sporting activity varies considerably from one individual to another, being almost constant in the same adult individual. In this sense, energy consumption varies according to the type of physical-sporting activity carried out”, adds the portal.
It is worth mentioning that vitamins are divided into two groups, fat-soluble and water-soluble. The former are stored in the liver, in the tissues and in the muscles. The latter are not usually stored in the body.
Likewise, as its excess is dangerous, its lack turns in the same line. This is called avitaminosis and its main symptoms are weakness, fatigue and frequent confusion.
