During the podcast, Rollins hit out at undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for making WWE bring in the World Heavyweight Title due to his part-time schedule.
“If Roman did what I do, there wouldn’t really be a need for a secondary championship, there wouldn’t be a need for another World Heavyweight Championship on RAW, because we would have someone who would do those things and like you said, it would give direction to the characters in the show, it would give directions to the show itself. But because of the road he’s chosen and what he wants to do with his schedule and his title reign is not what I’m doing, someone has to fill that void.
We did our best with the US Championship for a while to do that, but it never really felt like a World Heavyweight Championship, so there has to be that person, that place for everyone to fight and trying to fight, and I’m very happy to be that carrot that’s hanging there and I think that’s a good thing. And once more, if Roman did all those things and defended the title everywhere, we wouldn’t have all those problems. »
