Martin St-Louis, since his arrival in Montreal, is transforming this organization. The Canadian started from scratch with his new coach almost two years ago.
And even if the victories are not there, let’s say that we feel that the club is heading in the right direction.
Martin St-Louis will coach his 150th game tonight once morest the Jets.
He has a record of 58 wins, 77 losses and 14 tiebreaker losses, 130 pts and a winning percentage of .436 in 149 games.
How do you rate his performance behind the Canadiens bench????? pic.twitter.com/i5Bc8VVqBQ

Obviously, it is clear that even if MSL did not have a lot of experience behind a bench when he arrived in town, he had acquired his experience differently, in order to be credible.
Because without credibility, he wouldn’t have gotten far.
When you take a guy like Johnathan Kovacevic, who didn’t really have a chance in the NHL before arriving in Montreal, you say to yourself that playing for a guy like St-Louis must be special.
And that, as Arpon Basu wrote this morningthe defender confirms it.
Canadiens weekly notebook: A young team learns patience, young players manage low minutes, Martin St. Louis’ “rules” of hockey and the reason behind all the super long faceoffs lately.

Kovacevic explains that St. Louis has its rules that have nothing to do with those in the NHL books. These are the coach’s rules… which must not be broken on the ice.
And when that happens, it’s hard to feel good followingwards.
I’m not going to lie, I broke a rule on Wednesday. And Martin wasn’t happy. I can understand it.
It’s different when St. Louis gets mad at you compared to another coach. –Johnathan Kovacevic
It’s clear the Canadiens knew this might happen when Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes handed the keys to the bench to Hall of Famer St. Louis.
Good if it keeps the guys straight.

– Boxing news.
From what we understand, Arslanbek Makhmudov will bear the brunt of the first fight of the gigantic card in Riyadh on Saturday.

– To monitor.
For those wondering, Jordan Harris travelled with Habs to Winnipeg and is on this three-game trip. As of Dec. 12, his timeline to return from lower-body injury was 10-14 days. He was back for part of prac Fri and the morning skate Saturday. Perhaps trending a bit ahead of sched?
