The Impact of Iranian Influence on Lebanon: Gulf Countries Warn Citizens of Security Concerns

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Emirati academic, Abd al-Khaliq Abdullah, saw that the reason for Gulf countries warning their citizens once morest traveling to Lebanon is “purely security,” pointing out that this country has become hijacked by the “Iranian party in Lebanon,” referring to the party God.

Abdullah commented on the decisions of Gulf countries to prevent travel to Lebanon and ask their citizens to leave, saying: “The UAE and the Arab Gulf countries warn their citizens once morest traveling to Lebanon purely for security purposes. These countries are keen on their citizens, and the security scene in Lebanon is worrisome.”

And the Emirati academic added, “Lebanon, kidnapped from Iran’s part of Lebanon, remains one of the most beloved countries for the Gulf, and regarding a quarter of Lebanon’s people work in the Gulf and transfer one billion dollars annually to keep Lebanon’s economy alive.”

On Friday, the Saudi embassy in Lebanon warned its citizens once morest “being present and approaching areas witnessing armed conflicts,” and asked them to “quickly leave Lebanese territory.”

As for the Emirates, it called on UAE citizens to adhere to the previously issued decision to prevent citizens of the country from traveling to Lebanon, in order to preserve their safety.

For its part, the Qatari embassy in Lebanon called on, in a statement posted on its official page via the “X” platform, on Saturday evening, “Qatari citizens visiting Lebanon to take precautions and caution, to stay away from the areas witnessing the current events, and to adhere to the instructions issued by the competent local authorities.”

The Qatari embassy in Beirut also appealed to “citizens currently in Lebanon to communicate with it in emergency cases,” according to the statement, on Saturday.

At the same time, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Beirut called, in a statement it published on its newspaper on the “X” platform, on Saturday evening, “all citizens present in Lebanese territory to exercise caution, and to adhere to all security measures by moving away from areas witnessing armed conflicts, while following Security instructions issued by the competent authorities.
