In the last month, the network has been swept by a wave of discussions about the upcoming Baldur’s Gate III – the role-playing game from the Larian studio even managed to conquer the top 10 sales on Steam due to the “early access” version alone. Representatives of some studios, however, urged not to consider it a “new RPG standard”, noting that not every studio will be able to repeat such a success. What Larian itself thinks about this statement is unclear, but the company definitely likes the way players heatedly discuss the game. The reaction of the players was pleased with the head of the studio, Sven Vincke, and now the publishing director of the studio, Michael Daus, spoke about all these discussions. He believes that all the discussions around Baldur’s Gate 3 are useful both for the market and for the CRPG genre: Recall that the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 is expected on August 3, 2023 on PC, and on September 6 on PlayStation 5. Version for Xbox Series X| S is also in development, but Larian plans to release it “before the end of 2023” – the authors had problems with it.
