The founder of the DamProdam equipment exchange service, Elena Bogatyreva, told Gazeta.Ru about this. According to the expert, the main problem of previous generations of iPhones remains the high cost of repairs. Every year it increases for both new and old gadgets of the American manufacturer. This is due to the fact that Apple is gradually winding down its service program in Russia. Spare parts become more expensive and take longer to reach service centers. This happens both in authorized organizations and in third-party workshops.

The most vulnerable part of the iPhone remains its battery. In some cases, it can lose up to 20% of its capacity in a year and a half. Replacing this element is not cheap.
In addition, in the Russian market, the latest iPhone model can be found at half the price of Turkey and almost 15% cheaper than in Germany.

Elena Bogatyreva noted that Russians did not abandon Apple products in 2023, despite the lack of access to some of the important functions of the company’s technology, including payment in the App Store application store and the inability to pay with a smartphone using Apple Pay. About 67% of iPhone users decided not to switch to smartphones from other brands, which was the highest percentage among competitors.

Brand loyalty stems from the reliability of its products and Apple’s continued support for its devices around the world. In addition, the Apple ecosystem continues to operate in full in Russia.
