Currently, the dataset contains data on approximately 18,000 individuals. non-profit organizations, of which about 10 thousand there are various associations, almost 850 – charity and support funds, as well as over 6 thousand. public institutions.

Justina Lukaševičiūtė, adviser of the Development Department of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Ministry of Social Security and Labor, says that the data collected by the Registry Center helps to assess the number of volunteering persons, the added value they create for the state, as well as to create data-based measures that will contribute to strengthening the culture of volunteering in Lithuania.
“Although the data of the first year does not allow us to see a true picture of volunteering, it is a very important start, useful not only for policy makers, but also for organizations, which got the opportunity to evaluate and notice organizations and active volunteers in a different way,” says J.
