The IDF presents: the first interception of a ‘naval dome’ from a ‘Saar 6’ missile ship

During the night, a ‘Saar 6’ type missile ship successfully intercepted for the first time, using the ‘sea dome’ system, an unmanned aerial vehicle, which made its way from the east and crossed into the area of ​​the Gulf of Eilat.

The forces operated together with the air control unit and in full coordination and synchronization with the Sa’ar 6 type steel of the 3rd fleet.

The IDF says: “As part of the assessment of the situation from the beginning of the fighting, missile ships are deployed in the Red Sea arena, including a Saar 6 model missile ship that carries out its missions in the area.

“The naval arm operates in the Red Sea arena and is prepared to face a variety of regional threats through defensive and offensive capabilities.”

‘Protective dome’ – naval iron dome, based on the iron dome system and integrated into the national air defense system. The system is deployed on the Saar 6 ships of the Sea Arm and is designed to protect the economic waters of the State of Israel, once morest a variety of advanced threats, including rockets, cruise missiles and UAVs.
