Hyperloop One throws in the towel

Creating a vacuum inside the tube to launch vehicles presents safety and engineering challenges that Hyperloop One has never been able to meet. However, it was the most advanced project with a working prototype. The company had already abandoned the idea of transporting passengers for that of goods before laying off a large part of its staff last year.
