The hunt for free satoshis started yesterday!

12 different bitcoin projects and bitcoin companies recently launched a global bitcoin treasure hunt. The game started on January 23, 2023, in the framework of which the participating companies will publish the keywords of a bitcoin wallet.

Hunting for satoshis – hackers preferred

There are 3,454,811 satoshis in the wallet. Bitcoin fanatics and playful cryptographers must then use words to try to crack the wallet, and if they succeed, all the satoshis can be theirs. As more and more words will be available from the key, it will be easier to crack the wallet using the brute force method, according to the announcement. After all, you basically have to sort the words in the right order or, when not all words are available, try through the many millions of possibilities using the brute force method. Of course, this is only one option, according to the official announcement, there are quite a few ways to get into the wallet.

And the clock is ticking, as the more words are available, the easier it will be to decipher the key. The bitcoin address, protected by a 12-word key, was shared with the 12 participating companies. During the week starting January 23, each participant will share their corresponding word under the hashtag #HuntingSats. At the end of the week, if no one breaks into the wallet, the organizers will publish even more help. For more information, check out HuntingSats.com side to browse.
