With the aim of continuing to preserve the ‘huarache’, that typical Toluqueño dish, made by women from the Barrio de la Teresona in Toluca, the Huarache 2023 Fair will take place on March 11 and 12.
This is the seventh edition of this culinary event that seeks to highlight this tostada, with ingredients such as: beans, nopales, cheese, cilantro and salsa and that identifies the Mexican capital for its flavor.
It must be remembered that, last year, ‘El Huarache’ was a trend on social networks, following two vendors set up shop at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and it was a complete success.
Said fair will have the participation of 50 women dedicated to the preparation of this Mexican appetizer that can be found in this neighborhood, and in many other corners of Toluca.
The Huarache Fair will take place on Paseo Matlazincas and Juan Camaño, next to the State Center for Rehabilitation and Special Education (CEREE).
The hours of this expo-sale will be from 9:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the followingnoon. For this reason, the tostaderas invite the local and surrounding population to consume this typical dish, which Toluqueños say is delicious.
“I like it a lot, it always looks like a huarache. It is delicious, in addition to the fact that the toasts that these women make are merely handmade, it is good that they have a place to offer them, without a doubt, I am not going to miss this event”, said Judith Rangel, from Tolucan.
