The House of Autism opens its doors in Aubervilliers

Announced by the President of the Republic during the national disability conference in February 2020, the Maison de l’autisme opened its doors on Tuesday 11 April. This place of listening, information and support is aimed at people with autism, their parents, their loved ones but also health professionals and all those who wish to learn regarding this neurodevelopmental disorder.

The Maison de l’autisme is run by a team of advisers who welcome, with or without an appointment, people looking for information and guidance.

There is also: a documentation center, an amphitheater, a cafeteria, a “Le Lab” recording studio, a piano but also a decompression airlock at the entrance, a sensory space or even alcoves, sound blockers… Everything has been designed with autistic people, families, caregivers, professionals and associations with the aim of welcoming autistic people as well as possible, taking into account their specificities.

It is also a dedicated site, bringing together information and guidance.
