the hotel where the Belgian stayed was closed because it did not have an operating license

For two weeks, the family and relatives of Natacha de Crombrugghe have been in the most total concern. As a reminder, this young 28-year-old from Brussels disappeared while she was trekking alone in the Andean highlands.

She had left a backpack in her hotel room on January 24 before leaving to visit the Colca Canyon, a popular tourist destination in the Peruvian highlands. Since then, she has not given any sign of life…

However, according to Ampato Noticias, the hostel “La Estancia” where the Belgian tourist stayed in Cabanaconde and in which she had left a backpack was closed this Thursday by the police on the decision of the mayor of the municipality, Christian Cayani Benavides because it would not have a license to operate.

Furthermore, as we explained to you yesterday, the experts of Divincri carried out luminol tests in this hostel. According to the Peruvian media, “no trace of blood was found attesting to a possible crime”.

The analyzes were carried out until following 3 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9. They would have concluded that the Belgian tourist might not have been murdered or be the victim of any physical attack in the hostel.

Twenty-five members of the area’s high mountain rescue services are deployed and carry out searches using drones to sift through the steepest and most difficult to access places. A tracking dog was also used.

In addition to a fall, the authorities do not rule out the possibility that the young woman has found refuge in a cave to escape wild animals.

This Thursday, we also learned that the file relating to the disappearance of Natacha de Crombrugghe had been taken over by the federal prosecutor’s office.
