The host ships will anchor in November | Qatar World Cup Sidelights

Doha: MSC’s luxury ships will dock at Doha Port in November to accommodate spectators for the FIFA World Cup Qatar. Earlier there were reports that the ships would arrive in October.

But the first ship will arrive on November 10 and the second on November 14, according to Omar Al Jaber, executive director of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Housing Department, which is the regional organizer of the World Cup. MSC World Europe is currently in its final stages of construction. The ship’s first voyage is to Qatar. MSC’s five-star ship World Europa and four-star Posea will be transformed into floating hotels for World Cup spectators.

9,400 spectators can be accommodated in 2 ships. Cabin-style accommodations range from traditional style to state-of-the-art sea-facing cabins with balconies and luxury suites. The ships have all kinds of luxurious and state-of-the-art facilities like a variety of food and beverages, entertainment and sports programs. Spectators can book cruise ship hotels through the Supreme Committee’s accommodation portal. Apart from accommodation on ships, different types of accommodation such as fan villages, hotels, holiday homes, houses, Arabian tents in the desert can be booked through the portal. Most of the spectator accommodation has been completed.

The rest are in the final stage. Omar Al Jaber suggested that the ticket holders should not forget to book accommodation.
