On October 23, we revealed exclusive photos of an alleged prototype of the speaker connected to Apple, called HomePod B720. Originally published on Elon Musk’s social network [X] by user Kosutamithese photos have been deleted, but new images were published a few days ago.
Kosutami explains that the previous post was removed due to legal issues with the ID code. It seems that the Apple firm did not appreciate that its new prototype was circulating on the web.
A HomePod 2, but with a curved screen
According to previous information from Kosutami, the prototype looks a lot like the second generation of the speaker, except for a screen on top. This screen would replace the LED display present on the marketed versions and would have the same size as on the HomePod 2.

This screen might be used to display various information, such as current reading or certain important notifications. The goal is to provide a better user experience. This last point is also crucial given that as we specified in the previous article “– the HomePod with a screen is apparently only in the prototype stage, for the moment. This can therefore also mean that the product will never see the light of day, if the manufacturer does not succeed in transforming it into a minimum viable product.
