I had the happiness of living in Sierra Grande from 1959 to 1973, finishing elementary school 62 in the old part of Sierra, where the Post Office and the Doña Leontina and Don Segovia store were, and having Julio Alfaro, Rene Mendez and Justo Arbaizar among others. The report has some inaccuracies, surely the result of the passage of time. In Sierra, around 500 people lived between the two locations, and the ACA run by my father Arturo Fernández and the hotel on Gatica and Prado were the most important enterprises. The grocery store mentioned by the Architect was on the Las Palmas ranch, 15 km away. from the town and until a few years ago I was able to visit it when the last Prado brother, whose name was Paco, lived. We had a soccer team that played once morest Arroyo Ventana in memorable classics. What beautiful times in Patagonia with Route 3 gravel.
