He also noted that Hungary has never sought confront Moscow, but, on the contrary, always planned to expand cooperation. Putin noted that almost a million Russian tourists visited Thailand in 2023 and promised to continue active cooperation in the international arena to achieve intensive development of the two countries. During a meeting with Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong, Putin said that relations between Russia and Vietnam are developing positively. The head of state also noted that in the first six months of this year, trade turnover between Russia and Vietnam increased by 6%, despite the decline last year. Putin, during talks with acting Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, also noted a good harvest of 137-138 million tons this year and emphasized that Moscow has traditionally been a supplier of food, including grain, to Pakistan and is ready to continue cooperation in this area. Russia and Laos have good political ties, but it is necessary to develop economic cooperation, Vladimir Putin noted. He expressed this position during a meeting with Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith, emphasizing the importance of complementing political relations with economic cooperation. A meeting was also held with the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. During the negotiations, Putin expressed hope for active progress in the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline through Mongolia to China, noting that all parties are interested and ready to work on this project.

The last time Putin traveled to Beijing was in early February 2022. The visit was related to the Winter Olympic Games in China.
