3,134 coronavirus infections are registered: the highest number since July
The Ministry of Health released this Thursday the daily figures on the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, registering at the national level 3,134 new cases of coronavirus. The figure is the highest since July of last year.
“The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 45% and 19% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. Meanwhile, 3 regions decreased their new cases in the last seven days and eight did so in the last two weeks “, they indicate from the Minsal.
As of January 6, the total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country it reaches 1.814.188, of which 12,569 are active, so they can infect others.
Regarding deaths, in the last 24 hours there were 30 deaths. The total number of deaths is 39,207 in the country.
The Ministry of Health registered a positivity of 3.84% in the last 24 hours nationwide, with 74,438 exams, PCR and antigen test.
The daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 4% and eight regions register a positivity equal to or less than 3%.
