The highest earner on TV is me, Aftab Iqbal out of Ape

TV host, comedian and columnist Aftab Iqbal has claimed to be the highest paid TV host in Pakistan.

He recently appeared on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast, where he spoke openly about all his earnings for the first time and claimed that he was paid around Rs 2.5 crore last time for his comedy TV show.

According to Aftab Iqbal, he started at Dunya TV for a salary of five lakh rupees per month, but initially he was given two and a half lakh rupees less than the contract.

He said that later the owner of Dunya TV paid him Rs.5 lakh per month and then while he was there, his compensation went up to Rs.15 lakh per month.

He said that when he started the humorous program Khabarnaq on Geo News, leaving the above TV channel, the channel owners were crying despite giving him Rs 15 lakh per month.

According to Aftab Iqbal, when he talked about leaving, his monthly remuneration was increased to Rs.

The TV host and comedian said that later he went to work at 92 News for a while, then joined Express TV, where he was paid Rs 75 lakh per month.

He said that his salary in Express increased to Rs.22 crore per month and he did good programs with every TV channel, he produced many disciples and comedians.

Aftab Iqbal said that later he started selling Sama TV by making comedy programs, now he became not an employee but a producer, that’s why he started taking more money for the program.

He claimed that the last time he sold one month’s programs to Sama TV for Rs.24 million.

The comedian also claimed that once after 2014, the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asked him for his salary in front of his close cabinet members, then everyone guessed Rs 50 lakh per month and Nawaz Sharif believed that That’s a lot of money.

He said that he told Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that his monthly salary was much more than 50 lakh rupees and at that time he was getting 20 million rupees per month.
