The High Court has ordered the removal of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore’s jersey from the recently released Rajinikanth movie Jailer. The court order came in response to a complaint filed by RCB owners Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd that the film showed a villain wearing an RCB jersey and said misogynistic dialogues. The film’s crew informed the court that the jersey may be removed from the film.

The complaint was once morest Jailer producers Sun TV Network and Kalanithi Maran. The court directed them to edit and change the jersey or hide it in some other way before September 1. The court also directed that the RCB jersey should not be displayed in any theater from September 1.

A settlement has been reached between the two groups in this regard. The filmmakers have informed the club owners that they may remove the main colors of the RCB jersey and the names of the sponsors. The filmmakers are of the opinion that they can change it so that they do not know that it is an RCB jersey. Sun TV Network has also assured that this correction will be applicable for television and OTT release as well.
