A decade ago, the Miami Heat were the NBA’s flagship team, winning back-to-back titles behind their Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. A decade later, the time is perfect to tell the story of this armada that truly marked American basketball. I, Nicolas Meichel, co-editor-in-chief at TrashTalk, embarked on this mission three years ago, to land today with a book that looks back on the story of this three-headed monster: “The Heatles – LeBron, Wade and Bosh: this trio that upset the NBA”.

In the great history of team sports and especially the NBA, some teams have left an indelible mark. Whether through their style of play, their influence, their journey, their success or all of the above, they have transcended their discipline and thus retain a special place in people’s memories.

The Miami Heat from 2010 to 2014 definitely falls into this category.

This is why I wanted to tell his story in a book: The Heatles – LeBron, Wade and Bosh: this trio that upset the NBA”.

When superstars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh decided to unite under the colors of the Florida franchise in the summer of 2010, the entire NBA planet was shaken. Three of the best players in the world had just shaken up the established codes to try to build a real dynasty under the palm trees of Miami, with the legendary Pat Riley at the helm. It was the beginning of a special period in the history of the Great League. A four-year period during which this armada unleashed passions, going from the most hated basketball team in America to the most dominant with two NBA championship titles won.

With this book, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself – or re-immerse yourself – in the crazy adventure of the Heatles. Of “The Decision” July 8, 2010 until the breakup of this infernal trio in the summer of 2014. From the Finals lost in 2011 until the mythical shot of Ray Allen two years later. Exploits on the floors until the case Trayvon Martin outside.

More than just an account of the journey of the Miami Heat during these four years, this book of 256 pages and regarding ten chapters comes first to behind the scenes of this team clearly not like the others. You’ll learn how franchise president Pat Riley set the stage for one of the biggest shots in history at the 2010 Free Agency, and how the LeBron James – Dwyane Wade – Chris Bosh trio s was formed when no one dared to imagine it.

You will also discover the different dynamics that have characterized the Florida team during these four years. From the initial difficulties encountered by the young coach Erik Spoelstra to the ultimate coronation in 2012 and 2013, the Heatles had to face – in addition to the enormous hostility shown towards them – many internal obstacles before accomplishing their destiny. Obstacles and failures that might have caused the Florida group to explode in full flight, but which ended up welding it together to achieve success.

Filled with personalities with an atypical background, the Miami team also marked its era through its main protagonists. LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Riley, Coach Spo, Udonis Haslem, Ray Allen, Shane Battier, all those guys made the Heatles a unique team. This is why they have each been brought to light as chapters through detailed profiles.

“The Heatles – LeBron, Wade and Bosh: this trio that upset the NBA” is a book obviously intended for Heat fans, who will also have the pleasure of reading a few words from Tony Fiorentino, Miami commentator during this period and who made himself available for the preface. But this book, it is also for all NBA fans who want to understand how the Big League has evolved over the last decade, as the Heat’s Big Three have greatly influenced the world of American basketball, both on the pitches such as outside the limits of the floor. We will even go further, no need to be an orange ball lover to immerse yourself in the history of the Heatles, marked by a large number of twists and real human adventures.

This book, which took several years to see the light of day, is the culmination of long-term work carried out by a Miami fan who lived through the Heatles years 200%. A fan who got up every night at the time to witness the exploits of the Big Three while at the same time trying to validate his STAPS license (for the record, it happened). A fan who was already in love with Dwyane Wade but who became a fervent defender of LeBron James when the King turned into public enemy number 1 in the basketball world. And especially a fan who ended up realizing his dream: to write a book on the team that made him vibrate the most.

The Heatles – LeBron, Wade and Bosh: this trio that upset the NBA”, it is now available for pre-order on the Fnac website, and in bookstores on May 3!
