There are stars who use their accounts on social networks to promote their work and to show their luxurious trips to paradisiacal places, their spectacular mansions and the photographs that most favor them. Others don’t. Others decide, like many mortals, to use them to share different instances of their daily life, even those far from glamor and glitter. Brooke Shields belongs to the latter group, and this Thursday he excited his Instagram followers with a particular video.

The first thing that came to mind was the thought that she was paralyzed and fear for her life. “I just started screaming,” she told the magazine People in a hand-to-hand conversation. “He had never screamed like that, not even in childbirth. I felt how solid the impact had been,” she explained. “I don’t remember hearing anything, and the only thing I kept repeating over and over was that I might feel my toes, because I knew I mightn’t move but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t paralyzed.”
An ambulance arrived within minutes to take her to the hospital, where had emergency surgery to put a splint on your femur. The next day, the actress woke up to her screams following her bone came loose from her splint, prompting another operation.
As if that were not enough, Shields had to spend two weeks alone in the hospital, due to the Covid-19 restrictions that prevented her husband or daughters from visiting her. Her daughters gave her the strength to focus on healing. “I had to be calm for them. My daughters came to ask me if I felt that I was going to die, ”she recounted. “There are so many things that might have happened… I feel lucky to be alive”, he expressed.
After two more weeks in the hospital, Shields was finally able to return home to begin the lengthy rehabilitation process. And, once once more, on her social networks, the actress shared her day to day and the struggle to walk once more and feel good.
