The series “Clone” was released on the small screens more than 20 years ago, and yet every year the popularity of the Brazilian soap opera is only growing. Recently, the project was once once more shown in Russia, so every day fans discuss the series and argue regarding what they saw.

As always, people are trying to figure out the moral character of the main character of the “Clone” Zhadi, a wayward Muslim woman who was raised in the West. This character desperately seeks happiness, but constantly makes mistakes along the way. In fact, all 250 episodes of The Clone are almost entirely devoted to Jade’s attempts to connect with her lover Lucas.

At the same time, many fans of the film do not sympathize with the heroine at all. And even in those moments when her daughter is taken away from her or she is alone once more, they cannot pity the hearts of the audience. Much more emotionally, some fans react to the drama of secondary characters. So, for example, one of the most heartbreaking scenes of The Clone is dedicated to the daughter of Lucas and Maiza Mel. This girl was born with a golden spoon in her mouth and always got what she wanted. However, due to psychological problems and difficulties in her personal life, Lucas’s daughter got hooked on illegal substances.

The scene in which Maiza looks at how the ambulance takes the kicking and screaming Mel to the hospital makes even those viewers who do not sympathize with the vindictive and scandalous wife of Lucas burst into tears. Fans experience the same intensity of emotions, for example, when, in the first episodes of The Clone, Leonidas Ferras is informed that his beloved son Diego, Lucas’ twin, crashed in a car accident. When watching such poignant scenes, the heart is torn apart, as the characters are faced with truly irreparable and terrible things.

Zhadi’s problems were actually easily solved if she just thought with her head, some fans are convinced. So, for example, one can recall the episode when, in the absence of her husband, she ran to a secret meeting with Lucas in an odalisque costume without spare clothes – moreover, through the entire Muslim city, risking disgrace to her respected family. And therefore, when in the final episode Zhadi once once more begs Said to take her back to the family, if only not to part with her daughter, not everyone manages to sympathize with the main character of the Clone.
