Nesprias, 72 years old, he was admitted on December 3 as a result of sinusitis that was aggravated by the presence of fluid in the lungs. A week following his hospitalization, she is already in a common room, at times breathing on her own.

The mechanic Martin Velozo, one of those who is watching over the health of the former TC pilot, spoke with InfoCañuelas this Saturday. “I just got out of the sanatorium, fortunately it is improving day by day. He was hospitalized a week ago. He had a clogged airway due to sinusitis that was complicated by a lung and heart problem. Today they began to remove the respirator to measure oxygen saturation. If all goes well, next week they will discharge him.”

Juan Carlos Nesprías was born on August 16, 1950. From a very young age he showed his vocation for irons, making his own toy cars. At 18 he opened a mechanical workshop and following a period in the Limited 27 category, in 1978 he joined TC Roqueperense. During the five years that he competed in that category, he always occupied the top positions.

On February 10, 1985, he debuted in Turismo Carretera at the Buenos Aires Autodromo with a first place among debutants. On December 7, 1986, in La Pampa, he set the speed record, still valid: 257 average and 306 final speed.

He retired in the 94/95 season. Almost three decades following his retirement from the tracks, “the big man” from Cañuelas continues to be remembered and respected in the world of motorsports.
