Instant yeast plays an important role in producing the foods we eat, such as bread, as it helps to ferment it, but some may take it by dissolving it in warm water and adding sugar to it, to benefit from its benefits.
In this regard, nutrition expert Majdi Nazih indicated that consuming instant yeast provides the body with many health benefits.
Nazih said, during his hosting of the “Tahrir Hall” program, presented by Azza Mostafa, broadcast on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel: “Instant or baladi yeast helps in treating constipation, bloating, and repairing beneficial gut microbes.”
He continued: “It also contributes to the prevention of anemia, and is useful for hair loss, and regulates digestive enzymes, in addition to containing a high amount of vitamin B12.”
Regarding the method of using yeast, he said: “Cut a yeast cube, put it in a cup to which a spoonful of sugar is added, and stir them well so that the sugar dissolves completely, then put a quantity of milk, and stir them for 10 minutes.”
He explained, “If you suffer from constipation, you should drink this drink at night before going to sleep.”
