The former dean of the Heart Institute pointed out the ability of bananas to reduce the incidence of heart attack and stroke, especially in people who suffer from a lack of potassium in the blood, citing a recent American study.

He added that bananas contain a high percentage of potassium, which contributes to maintaining healthy blood pressure and preventing electrical disturbances in the heart, with the help of magnesium, which the body also obtains when eating it.
