Actor and BJP activist Krishna Kumar criticized the government over the brutal killing of a five-year-old girl in Aluva. Krishna Kumar says that the people are seeing all this and are holding them to account. “The face of that little girl in Aluva raises a great deal of trepidation and again a handful of questions before us. And, overwhelming helplessness and rage. Now we don’t see enlightened Malayalees tapping a match to light a candle when news of a molestation in Manipur, Kashmir or some unnamed inland north Indian village reaches here. A couple of weeks ago, we do not see that the head of a prominent film actor here, who was weighed down by the weight of disgrace, has risen to its former position after that or now.”- says Krishna Kumar.

Dear brothers and sisters, from yesterday afternoon till today, every Malayali who has good inside is in a state of frozen mind and conscience. The face of that little girl in Aluva brings great shock and yet again a handful of questions before us. And, overwhelming helplessness and rage. We no longer see any cultured dog that looks north and barks and howls every time it is graded.
Now we don’t see enlightened Malayalees tapping a match to light a candle when news of a molestation in Manipur, Kashmir or some unnamed inland north Indian village reaches here. We don’t see the head of a prominent film actor here, who was crushed by the weight of humiliation a couple of weeks ago, now or since then, has returned to its original position.
Alcohol, drugs, anarchy, nepotism and minority favoritism are being ruled by this government which has made Kerala number one, it is not possible for me or you or even our grandchildren who can’t even fly to live here without fear of danger. Especially if you are born a Hindu.
From 2016 to May this year, 31,364 cases of violence against children have been registered. 9604 of them are sexual assaults. 214 children have been killed in our Kerala during this period. How many, how much more, are the unaccounted for?
It would be better if the government, which only focuses on the vote bank, and honors all the foreign workers who come and visit here by calling them guests and pride, and the sly comrades. People are watching all this. They have a hand to account for. Nothing more to write. As a member and symbol of a failing majority in a rotten society, this much is said; Forgive me daughter. Today, your sisters will have the opportunity to go out and fly without fear of life, at least for many years to come. All my efforts will be for that only. May God help us to heal this wound in our minds.
