When science is made accessible to all. THE Cartoucherie Halles will be invested by meetings highlighting scientists from the Region. From Thursday January 25, the Unexpected Escapes, organized by the CNRS, will enliven the new Toulouse living space.
Meetings, conferences, demonstrations…
THE activities around science will come in different forms. The CNRS is already announcing micro-conferences, meetings or live demonstrations from laboratory scientists. The opportunity to familiarize yourself with the professions of microbiologist, ethologist, biophysicist or even chemist. Also a way to understand a little more the concept of Scientific procedure.
The CNRS acts every day in the territory, to share the knowledge acquired, highlight the work of scientists and above all explain the scientific approach, which is a real issue in our societies, explains in a press release Jocelyn Méré, CNRS Occitanie Ouest regional delegate .

She continues: “Our objective is to introduce high-quality scientists from CNRS laboratories located in West Occitanie in a living space, The Halles de la Cartoucherie, which Toulouse residents have become accustomed to frequenting“.
See you on January 25
“Microscopic journey into therapeutic terrain”, this will be the theme of the first Escapes. The opportunity for the curious to immerse themselves for 30 minutes in the microscopic world of cells, but also to discover the contributions of this technique, particularly in the understanding of certain pathologies like Alzheimer’s disease. Enough to sharpen your scientific mind!
