He added: “The Russian army has proposed establishing a continuous contact between the Russian and Ukrainian sides for the exchange of information, starting at 09:30 this morning, Tuesday, April 5, a temporary armistice, during which the Russian and Ukrainian armies and the forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic must stop. The Russian Defense Ministry noted that Moscow is counting on Ankara’s support to push the Ukrainian forces to lay down their weapons in Mariupol, and also expressed the hope that “Turkish colleagues, using their power, will be able to put pressure by all possible means on representatives of the Kyiv authorities and leaders of the remaining Ukrainian armed formations in Mariupol”.
