Interview with Alexander Isak about the Arsenal rumor, among other things.

Recently, various British media have placed Alexander Isak in Arsenal. Now comes the first “heavy” report which claims that the Swede is actually in the running for a transfer to the “Gunners”.

The Guardian states that the 24-year-old is a priority transfer target for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window. According to the newspaper, the Swedish national team star could cost around 100 million pounds, corresponding to roughly 1.36 billion kroner.

It is a transfer that in such cases would make Isak the most expensive Swedish player ever.

Even if the price tag is high, it will not scare the London club if the situation becomes sharp. Last year they paid a similar amount to buy Declan Rice from West Ham.

The Guardian further writes that the “Gunners” want to sign a central forward and a winger this summer. Michael Olise in Crystal Palace is pointed out as an alternative to the latter position.

Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting), Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus) and Ivan Toney (Brentford) are examples of other forwards who have been placed at Arsenal.

Isak came to Newcastle from Real Sociedad in August 2022 for a reported price tag of just over SEK 740 million. Since then, the striker has scored 31 goals in 61 competitive matches.

The contract runs until 2028.
