The group Casino will replace all the brands of its “Géant Casino” hypermarkets with a new brand, “Casino #Hyper frais”, “by the end of the first quarter of 2023”, thus turning the page on “five decades” under the Géant brand , according to a statement released Thursday.
Casino, which published its results earlier on Wednesday, tested this change of sign in four hypermarkets, in Amiens (Somme), Angers (Maine-et-Loire), Nîmes (Gard) and Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), and plans to generalize this change “to the entire hypermarket park”.
A total of “61 stores”
By the end of September, fifteen other stores must change sign, in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), Albertville (Savoie), Annonay (Ardèche), Besançon (Doubs), Brest (Finistère) , Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme), Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône), Lons-le-Saunier (Jura), Montpellier Celleneuve (Hérault), Pessac (Gironde), Quimper (Finistère), Saint-André- de-Cubzac (Gironde), Saint-Etienne Monthieu (Loire), Saint-Michel-sur-Orge (Essonne), Toulouse Fenouillet (Haute-Garonne).
“All of the 61 stores will switch to this new identity by the end of the first quarter of 2023, thus turning the page of five decades with the ‘Géant Casino’ brand”, announced the Casino France brands in a press release.
