Will we manage to do without fossil fuels and nuclear electricity? This is one of the big questions of the moment in the federal political arena. Part of the answer lies in the development of indigenous renewable energies, starting with solar. This Friday, the Energy Commission of the Council of States once once more looked into the matter. And its majority has chosen a moderate path on the photovoltaic current: no question of imposing the panels on all the roofs of new constructions and major renovations, as the National Council nevertheless wants. Instead, it prefers to install them only on buildings with an area exceeding 300 square meters, as well as for new car parks of 250 square meters. The plenary will once more vote on these recommendations.
