We discussed the issue of building up labor resources and raising wages at UAZ, which worried the workers who made a commotion at the end of last week. Additional indexation will occur twice: in July and September.
Sollers PJSC decided to create a multi-brand industrial center for the production of frame cars at the UAZ site.
The first project will be the organization of production in Ulyanovsk of Sollers Argo compact light trucks. The assembly of this model has already started in a new building on the industrial site as part of a separate legal entity – SOLLERS Cargo LLC.
The new model was presented to the governor Alexei Russkikh. He noted that the machine is perfect for utilities, for example, as well as for small and medium-sized businesses.
Currently, construction and installation work is also being completed on the territory of the UAZ industrial park to launch full-cycle production, including welding, cabin painting and assembly. Planned capacities for the production of this model are designed to produce more than 10,000 vehicles per year in a five-year perspective. The total investment in the project will amount to over 1 billion rubles.
Earlier, at the site where the new production is now organized, the old cargo row was repaired, which was moved, as planned, to the main building during the optimization of the car plant. Told about it Alexey Spirin, General Director of UAZ.
– The development of the industrial site in Ulyanovsk remains one of the strategic priorities of the Sollers group, and taking into account the core competencies of UAZ in the production of frame cars, we decided to create new capacities in the industrial park of UAZ for the production of commercial vehicles with a frame structure, while using the existing infrastructure of the car plant , – said Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC SOLLERS Adil Shirinov.
According to Shirinov, the launch of Sollers Argo production will also make it possible to realize the existing synergies with UAZ in terms of localizing key components and assemblies: “I am sure that the strategy being implemented will become an incentive for the growth of production volumes, the creation of new jobs and industrial development in the Ulyanovsk region as a whole. Moreover, following the launch of Sollers Argo, we are actively working on new projects for placement in the UAZ industrial park,” he said.
General Director of PJSC “SOLLERS” Nikolay Sobolev says that the production of a full cycle: with a logistics center, chassis welding and assembly, cabin welding, localized assembly. It is planned to reach the production rate of 28 units. in shift. Trucks will be delivered to all regions of Russia. – This is a product that has no analogues. It was created for the promising market of urban delivery of goods – its carrying capacity is up to 1.5 tons. UAZ produces more than 10 models of cars, as well as special vehicles for the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health, including class B and C ambulances. More than 6,000 people work here.
The holding’s management announced that from June 1 of this year, another scheduled increase in wages will take place at the car plant, significantly outstripping the inflation rate. This information was also confirmed by Governor Aleksey Russkikh, who has been systematically raising the level of average wages in the region for the third year in a row, and UAZ became one of the first enterprises to respond to the government’s message.
– The main issue that was discussed with Sollers PJSC and the management of the plant was the increase in wages in the work team. We agreed that UAZ will carefully study its economy and work out the issue of advanced wage indexation in the work team, but in such a way that this does not limit investments. I am sure that the leadership will carefully consider the issue and by September 1 will please us with good news. He also asked the management of the plant to remain in a constructive dialogue with the team, to give the workers the opportunity to openly express their opinion and not punish those who defend their rights. For our part, we will continue to help the company to implement new projects, and the task of the management is to increase production and raise wages. The Regional Industry and Entrepreneurship Financing Fund helped support the automaker’s application for concessional federal funding. Thanks to this, UAZ will be able to additionally invest about 70 million rubles in the development of production. Also, the enterprise successfully fulfills state orders, including defense ones, – the head of the region emphasized.
Adil Shirinov responded to the proposal, emphasizing that the board of directors is interested in increasing the well-being of its staff: “Indexation will be annual, we do not stop there, we look at long-term prospects. These issues need to be resolved constructively, at the negotiating table.”
