The head of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, said that queues of mainly Ukrainian citizens had accumulated on the borders of Russia with Latvia and Estonia. He wrote in his Telegram channelthat instructed the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other services to strengthen control at the borders.
Volunteers who donate food and warm clothes to Kommersant told Kommersant that on October 4 the situation began to improve. People who had been queuing at the border for several days were allowed to pass faster.
Simultaneously with the tents of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, mobile recruiting stations appeared at some border points. Mr. Vedernikov said that Russians of military age are also trying to leave. They will be checked.
