Major General Hisham Amna, Governor of Beheira, received today, Wednesday, Mann Abdel Maqsoud, Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment at the Ministry of Health and Population, accompanied by Rania Zakaria, Director General of the General Department for Hospital Affairs at the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, and Sayed Khalil, Director of the Planning and Follow-up Department at the General Secretariat for Mental Health. And addiction treatment, in the presence of Nihal Balbaa, Deputy Governor, Hani Juma’a, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and Hamouda Al-Jazzar, Undersecretary of the Directorate of Health.
The visit comes with the aim of identifying the provision of places designated for psychiatry and addiction treatment and centers of excellence for autism, as part of the efforts undertaken by the governorate in coordination with various Egyptian state institutions to eliminate the problem of drug abuse and addiction.
The delegation is scheduled to go to inspect the site at the Afflaqa Family Health Center in Damanhour Center; This is in preparation for the establishment of a medical complex that includes “mental health services – addiction treatment services – autism treatment center” in Beheira; To serve the people of the governorate and its neighboring governorates, and those residing in the West Delta region in general.
