Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch confirmed, on Thursday in Rabat, that the government will work, in the second half of the mandate, to consolidate investment dynamics and create job opportunities.

Akhannouch stressed, in a speech during the opening of the government council, that “in parallel with continuing to strengthen the pillars of the social state as His Majesty wants, the government will work, in the second half of the mandate, to consolidate the investment dynamic and create job opportunities, by providing an investment environment that ensures sustainable economic growth, and thus achieving a strategic balance between the social and economic dimensions, in accordance with the development path outlined by His Majesty the King.”

The Prime Minister continued, “In this political entry, major challenges await us, which require redoubling efforts to activate the various public policies to which the government has committed, increasing the pace of work, and showing seriousness and effectiveness in implementing the various programmed projects, so that they are up to the level of the responsibility that His Majesty the King, may God protect him, has entrusted us with, and to the good trust of Moroccans.”

Akhannouch also recalled the royal directives contained in the last Throne Day speech, considering them the compass of government action, especially with regard to managing the strategic water issue, which requires in the next stage the continuous updating of the mechanisms of the national water policy, and the acceleration of the completion of various projects related to it.

He stressed that the royal directives constitute a clear approach, as the government intends, according to the guidance memorandum related to the 2025 Finance Bill, which the various ministerial sectors received at the beginning of this month, to continue implementing reform projects in various fields, with the necessary speed and effectiveness, and to translate the government program into reality.
