The government will not only come out solid, but also strengthened by the motion of no confidence, said the Minister of State, Makis Voridis, speaking on Thursday morning to SKAI and the “Today” show.
“The effectiveness of the motion of no confidence will be judged on two levels. The first is whether it will create some kind of rift in the government,” said Mr. Voridis, predicting that the government will come out strengthened by this, and secondly, as he said, a “deficit of communication, of information regarding the government’s position that existed, is being made up for.”

Regarding the opposition’s claims that Mr. Kostas Karamanlis is hiding from the case, Mr. Voridis commented that he never hid.
“You spend 8.5 hours on the examination committee. He has spoken in the first debate when we considered the requests for the examination and the two preliminary ones. He didn’t just speak in the discussion regarding the evaluation of the investigation committee’s conclusion,” said the Minister of State.
Asked if Mr. Karamanlis gave answers yesterday during his speech yesterday, Mr. Voridis replied “I don’t think anything new was added”.
At the same time, Mr. Voridis underlined that “this government has done everything it can to ensure that nothing is covered up” in the case.
