“We have decided to suspend the increase in prepaid medicine for the next 90 days, for all those households that do not exceed $2 million in income,” the head of the Treasury announced in a video on his social media accounts.

The objective, said Massa, is that “the effects of the fact that the effort made by the workers and the State is also accompanied by a health care that does not penalize the worker’s bills“.

With the increases in July and August, the Family plans for a married couple with 2 minor children were between $120,000 and $165,000 per month.

The cumulative rise in private medicine in the first eight months of the year was 66,16%, while the CPI for 2023 registered a variation of 60.2% until July, without even counting the August index.
