The Government approved the divestment of Disney: MediaPro is the new owner of Fox Sports

The Government endorsed this Wednesday the divestment of Disney (ESPN) in Argentinawhich includes the transfer of signals and television rightsas a prior step to authorizing its merger with Fox. This was confirmed by sources from the Ministry of Internal Trade to THE NATION. The decision will be published in the Official Gazette.

The resolution was signed by the Secretary Roberto Felettiand was supported by the Minister of Productive Development, Matias Kulfas. With the detachment of Disney, the Spanish company enters the country’s television market MediaProwhat it is mostly controlled by Chinese capital.
