The first large-scale housing supply measures of the Yun Seok-yeol administration will be announced on the 16th.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 10th that it would announce the ‘Housing Supply Plan for 2.5 Million Homes or More’, which was urgently delayed to respond to the damage caused by the torrential rain on the 16th. Initially, the government planned to announce the first large-scale housing supply measures of the Yun Seok-yeol administration by holding a meeting of real estate-related ministers on the 9th with the participation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
However, in response to the spread of flood damage due to heavy torrential rains in the central region, it was decided to postpone the announcement of the countermeasures and focus on repairing the damage.
This plan is a roadmap containing plans to supply more than 2.5 million homes over the next five years. The government’s public-led housing supply direction has been changed to a private one, and the main focus is on demand-tailored supply. Specifically, it plans to include extensively on the activation of reconstruction and redevelopment, improvement of the recovery system for excess profits from reconstruction, introduction of privately proposed urban complex projects, supply of cost-effective housing for young people and the first house near the station, and alleviation of noise between floors.
