The GORE will not receive the DPA until Fondepes raises observations

The infrastructure and equipment of the Artisanal Fishing Landing (DPA) are not in good condition to start operating, which is why the Regional Government of Moquegua will not receive the work.

Eng. Antonio Granados Cuayla, regional manager of GORE Economic Development, indicated that he held a meeting with the Fondepes representative to start the previous tasks in the DPA, which might not be fulfilled due to failures.

“There is a commitment from Fondepes to lift the observations and change the equipment that unfortunately does not meet the technical specifications to develop an adequate process for the processing, treatment, conservation and transport of the hydrobiological resource,” he said.

The official regretted that the person in charge of Fondepes had not made the commitment to set a date to lift the observations and simply chose to withdraw without signing an agreement or act in favor of the fishermen.

Granados pointed out that they have been forceful and no infrastructure will be received that is not 100% operational.

“It has been one more visit, they have come with part of their technical team, they have tried to camouflage some deficiencies that the DPA has. No infrastructure will be accepted in the conditions it is in,” he asserted.
