Tri-K, one of the most important gold projects of the Moroccan mining group Managem in Guinea, was voted best mining project in Africa during the fifth edition of the Africa Investments Forum & Awards, held on June 2, 2022 in Paris.
The Managem group and its R&D, engineering and project execution subsidiary, Reminex, announced on Tuesday June 17, 2022 that the Tri-K gold project in Guinea was voted the best mining project in Africa during the 5e edition of the Africa Investments Forum & Awards.
The GOLD AWARD trophy was awarded on June 2, 2022 in Paris during a day of meetings organized by the Leaders League group. The Tri-K project was nominated among 3 other mining projects in Africa. The final selection was made by an international and independent jury made up of more than 20 experts in their respective sectors, indicates a press release from the Managem group.
The Africa Investments Forum & Awards is an event dedicated to business opportunities in Africa in many areas, including energy, mining, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, growth strategies, real estate and development. from the city.
This year, the ceremony rewarded the best projects and companies for their excellence and was able to offer investment leaders on the continent an opportunity for exchanges and sharing of experiences.

From technical due diligence during the acquisition phase, through orientation studies and piloting to define the critical size of the project and its profitability, to the basic engineering of the project”, emphasizes the group in its press release.

Located in the Mandiana district in northeast Guinea, regarding 50 km northeast of the city of Kankan (the 2e largest city in Guinea), the Tri-K project includes surface mining and required a construction investment of $220 million. The first gold bar was cast, on schedule, on June 23, 2021.
