The Guatemalan coach Amarini Villatoro put an end to a series of rumors that questioned his continuity on the Xelajú MC bench of the National Soccer League of Guatemala this April 26 when he sympathized with the media in a press conference organized this Friday at the Mario Camposeco stadium in Quetzaltenango.
The national strategist, who took the reins of the departmental team in May 2022, won Xelajú MC champion and achieved the long-awaited “sixth moon” in the Clausura 2023.

“After the championship I detected several mistakes and one of them was the excitement of having been champion. We had to put together the team because adapting to Xela is complicated, but it is something for which I take responsibility,” he said.
Amarini Villatoro is already working on the ups and downs of his team for next season and it is expected that in the coming weeks some departures and movements in his squad will be confirmed.
