In the midst of the wave of insecurity, there is a chosen “target” that continues to be repeated in the province of Córdoba: the gated communities and neighborhoods. Last weekend, a couple was surprised and ended up at the hands of at least four armed and gloved criminals who managed to sneak into their chalet.
As it turned out, the band managed to raise a large sum of money that would be around 700 thousand pesos, in addition to various belongings. In the escape they came to leave behind a safe, according to reports.
The case is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office on duty and by inquiries from the Río Cuarto Police Department. There are no detainees.
From the Police, no one dares to confirm if a single gang is behind these assaults or if several criminal cells are already interacting.

The violent episode happened on Sunday at 1:30 a.m. when at least four armed criminals managed to gain access to the country San Esteban, located on the outskirts of the city of Río Cuarto.
It is not clear what vehicle they were in. What is known is that they broke the perimeter fence and, with all recklessness and impunity, entered the property.
They carried weapons, tools, gloves, seals and even a cart to transport a safe.
With previous information that they handled, they went to the chalet and reduced a couple without problems.
The victims were elderly people who were sleeping.
They ended up intimidated and immobilized with plastic seals. Police sources would later point out that, although the robbery was violent, there were no victims beaten.
The assault did not last more than 20 minutes. The gang seized regarding 700,000 pesos in cash, cell phones, and jewelry, among other assets.
In the car, the criminals loaded a safe. In any case, the chest appeared abandoned in the barbecue area of the house.
It is not the first time that a criminal act has occurred in that country.
The case is being investigated at this time by departmental detectives who, under judicial directives, take testimonies, analyze footage and carry out various inquiries in order to identify and catch the criminals.
Robbery and police ambush
To all this, two men were arrested in the city of Córdoba when they offered for sale a camera with a telephoto lens that, according to suspicion, they had stolen along with other items from a house in a country house in Malagueño, in the department of Santa María. .
The suspects were caught by plainclothes police officers who posed as interested in acquiring that device. The photo machine was offered for resale on social networks. The police ambush was carried out at a service station.
