A young man committed suicide on Facebook live following his girlfriend rejected his marriage proposal. 27-year-old Jayadeep Roy, a native of Assam, hanged himself. Jayadeep Roy committed suicide by shooting a live video on Facebook, alleging that his girlfriend backed out of marrying him due to family pressure. The police registered a case on their own initiative and started an investigation.
The youth committed suicide in a rented room in Silchar. ‘I went home with a marriage proposal. But. She rejected me in front of everyone. Later, her uncle threatened me to kill her because of our relationship. So I am leaving this world so that she doesn’t have to worry.

Jaideep added that the rejection of his long-term relationship hurt him a lot and he might not bear it.
