Stefanos Kasselakis and his husband Tyler Macbeth are in Corfu to spend the Easter days.
Shortly following his arrival in Corfu, Stefanos Kasselakis made his first night out in the Old Town on the evening of Holy Thursday (02.05.2024).
Stefanos Kasselakis met with local officials of SYRIZA and MP Alekos Avlonitis in a cafe in Annunciata Square, where in his well-known relaxed way he chatted with people and children and took selfies.
He even received a gift from a young friend, who gave him a traditional Corfu fogatasa, a type of bun.
Then he went to Nikiforou Theotokis Street and the Old Philharmonic Hall, where as usual a crowd of people enjoy the music from the rehearsal of the funeral processions of Great Friday and Great Saturday.
The president of SYRIZA also met by chance the Corfu composer Giorgos Katsaros with whom he had a heart-to-heart conversation.
Tomorrow, Stefanos Kasselakis will meet with the regional governor of the Ionian Islands, Giannis Terpeklis, and the 3 mayors of Corfu.
According to the program, the president of SYRIZA will follow the epitaphs of the Metropolis and Saint Spyridon, while he will also participate in the custom of the First Resurrection, “the breaking of the boots”.
On Easter day, he will exchange wishes at the Corfu Naval Station. On Monday, he will visit Paxos.
