U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter says: “The preparatory phase is now over. We have many areas that are already well under development, but there is still room for improvement in some areas that we see and where we will be working in the next few days up to first game. The squad is now complete and everyone will now be assigned a specific role that they will fulfill. Nominating the final squad is always a difficult task, but it’s part of the process. The players who haven’t been nominated are of course still part of the team and will continue to be present in our heads. We wish these three guys all the best and thank them once more for their commitment. Unfortunately, Haakon had an injury, which makes it impossible to continue here safely There is always some risk involved in sending an injured player to a tournament, but we are always happy Let’s all look forward to the upcoming tournament.”

Striker Bennet Roßmy adds: “I think we’ve had good preparation with three really good friendlies. Of course we’re really looking forward to the tournament now. We’ll definitely be ready when it starts once morest Sweden on December 27th.”
