The Deutschland-Ticket, valid throughout Germany, has already sold more than 11 million units in four months of existence.

It has just celebrated its 4 month anniversary. The “49 euro pass” succeeded the “9 euro pass”, an offer limited to three months which was a hit during the summer of 2022. And it is already part of the daily life of Germans. With 11 million passes sold, including a million to new customers, the Scholz government will no longer be able to turn back: “This ticket is essential. No politician will dare touch it,” said Karl-Peter Naumann, spokesperson for the German train users association Pro Bahn.
