WHAT IS THE IGP OF PERU?
The Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) is a Decentralized Public Organization of the Ministry of the Environment that was created with the purpose of applying Geophysics, that is, its primary function is to study all phenomena related to the structure, physical conditions and history evolutionary of the Earth. The IGP has the capacity to serve the country’s needs in areas as important as: seismology, volcanology and the study of El Niño.
