“The Gentlemen” – what was the movie regarding?

The film “The Gentlemen” was regarding Mickey Pearson – an American who built a drug empire in England. One day, a rumor spreads that Pearson wants to get out of the market. Maybe the climate doesn’t suit him or he’s afraid of Brexit. The problem is that native British bandits are looking for an opportunity to take over his business. There are offers, threats and flattery. Some people try blackmail or bribery. Pearson, however, apparently hasn’t made a final decision yet. To help him with this, some more impatient people reach for weapons. And a certain cunning and witty journalist is planning a scam that may change the rules of the game. Pearson, however, turns out to be the master of the free-American gangster. A very costly war begins. But gentlemen don’t talk regarding money.

The cast of the film included Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Jeremy Strong and Hugh Grant.
